A series of thumbnail designs created for Vloom’s Instagram reels, developed to support short-form content around marketing, performance ads, lead generation and digital growth.
Each thumbnail was designed to make the core message of the reel clear at a glance, while keeping the visual direction sharp, direct and easy to recognise in a fast-moving social feed. Since Vloom’s content often explains marketing ideas in a simple and practical way, the thumbnails needed to work almost like a first hook: quick to understand, visually consistent, and strong enough to invite people to watch.
Generative AI was used as part of the production process to create different poses, expressions and visual styles for the person featured in these thumbnails. The generated images were based on a set of studio photographs, which helped keep the character consistent while allowing more flexibility in how he appeared across different pieces of content.
